Overall, I thought the book was well put together. In some areas, I thought it was a little simple and for the beginner in tournaments, in others I thought the insight was relatively deep and quite useful. The book is relatively short but was an interesting read. The mythology section had some excellent points that I agreed with and others that I thought were too conservative, especially the discussion on suited cards.
Rating: 4 / 5
Direct. No nonsense. This is the type of book that I would read again prior to a tournament. Sets you in the right frame of mind, and gives direct clear suggestions. The self control discussion was comical and describes every poker player’s worst moments. I recommend this book.

Recently bought this book about 2 weeks ago. It’s actually pretty good. Been reading some of the feedback written , I actually found this book very helpful for a beginner. I actually started playing poker about 6 months ago and have read many books including super system. This book was a bit short but i am not quite sure why this is a bad thing. The book doesn’t ramble on and actually teaches you to play a certain way and win. I have already read it a few times and have preferred it over many of the other books i have read because you can always quickly refer to the techniques and succeed using them.
I usually don’t leave feedbacks but i thought that this book deserved it after some of the deceitful feedbacks that were received. I enjoyed it very much and i think many others would as well.
Rating: 5 / 5
I have played at least 3000 online tournaments in the last three years and by far, I can say that this book does the best job of hand evaluation than any other. Other books are way too loose and under estimate the level of hand selection that is required to survive in the no prisonrs online game. I have played tournaments with 2000 players for 5 hours, reached the final table, and played 7 hands all night.
I loved this book and the investment section on hand evaluation. The importance here is to read what the guy says and actually follow it…read it again (its a short book) and make 100% sure you are following the advice. I TOTALLY AGREE with the suited and low pair mythology discussion. You play J10 suited, you deserve to lose when raised.
Anyways, I dont want to go on and on, but I enjoyed reading this book and it also has a certain edge and humor.
Rating: 5 / 5
Although this book is relatively short (I read it over a couple of days), I found that it was very focused and to the point on the critical areas of No Limit Tournaments. Unlike other books who have lots of fluff, this book was very much to the point and clear in its concepts. I appreciated the different view points on some key strategic concepts. The Psychology chapter was excellent.
